Installed 2GB of Memory in a MacBook Pro

Yesterday a friend needed some help to install memory on a MacBook Pro. Picked up two, 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 type RAM from Frys. The maximum memory on this older MacBook Pro that could be installed was 2GB. It was suggested from the Apple site to install them in pairs. My friend had two 512MB, now he has a total of 2GB.

Added More Memory to Apple iMac G5

Well, with the demise of another old PC computer which had 2.5 GB RAM, I was able to take 2 GB of that memory and install the two 1GB boards into my Apple iMac G5. Great upgrade. Went from 1 to 2 GB.
